Visa application

The main documents for applying for a private visa:

Application form completed in English or French;

An invitation or a passport, the validity of which is sufficient until the moment you leave the country;

$7 to pay the consular fee.

An export permit from the other parent is required for every child under 18 years of age. You can visit Tunisia on a regular visa within a month after its issuance. The duration of stay in the country is 1 month.

If you are planning to rent a car while traveling, you will need to present an international driving licence.

Important! The Customs Service of Tunisia reserves the right to refuse to visit the country for a tourist without giving reasons. In this case, his deportation is carried out on the same plane on which he arrived.

Customs rules and regulations

Allowed to import duty-free

Cigarettes in the amount of 400 pieces, or 100 cigars, or 500 grams of tobacco;

Alcoholic products in the volume of 2 liters, with a strength of less than 25%, or 1 liter, if the mass fraction of alcohol in it is higher than this norm;

Foreign currency in unlimited quantities. Amounts over $1,000 must be declared;

Perfume no more than 250 ml or 1 liter of eau de toilette for personal use;

Goods purchased abroad with a value of less than $100;

Photo and film equipment. Information about more expensive technical equipment is indicated in the passport;

The import of pets is allowed if there is a veterinary certificate of physical health of the pet.

Allowed to export duty-free

Previously imported foreign currency;

Souvenirs, gold, carpets, fruits with a receipt confirming the purchase. It is forbidden to import and export from Tunisia a

national currency. It can be exchanged for a foreign one within 30% of the exchange amount, but not more than 100 TND per person;

Antiques and other antiques. To take them out of the country, you will need permission from the Department of Antiquities;

Weapons, ammunition, pornographic materials. Violators of this paragraph will be fined;

Hides and skins of protected animals;

Drugs, psychotropic substances and medicines containing narcotic ingredients;

Export of hunting rifles without a permit.
